  • WOGA Awards Grants

    WOGA has awarded grants to the following High School & Junior Girls Programs: Olive HS, Dewar HS, Ironhead HS, Putnam City North HS, Broken Arrow HS, Bixby HS, Choctaw HS, Purcell HS, Mooreland HS, Ardmore HS, The First Tee of OKC and The First Tee of Tulsa.  Each recipient will receive $500.  Congratulations to all programs and a special thank you to our donors who made these funds available.

  • LPGA-USGA Girls Golf coming to Tulsa

    The Women's Oklahoma Golf Association is pleased to announce the approval by the LPGA of our first LPGA-USGA Girls Golf Chapter in Tulsa at the LaFortune Park Golf Course. The program is set to begin in March of 2015. Maggie Roller, LPGA Class A Teaching Professional will be the site director. Advisory Board Members include Emilee Klein, Stacy Prammanasudh Upton, Lew Erickson, Kathy West, Leigh Ann Fore, Laurie Campbell, Pat McCrate, Janice Gibson, Janet Miller, Maggie Roller and Sheila Dills.  WOGA is very excited to start this new program and continue supporting girls' golf in a highly social and fun atmosphere.  Let's help change a young girl's life by introducing them to golf.   • State Am Champ Wins Again!

    Congratulations to 2014 WOGA State Amateur Champion Yujeong Son for winning her first AJGATournament at Pumpkin Ridge in the AJGA All-Star Invitational! Yujeong was also the 2014 WOGA Girls' Junior Champion.

  • LeeAnn Fairlie wins Senior Championship

    LeeAnn Fairlie of Oklahoma City defended her Senior Championship title. Fairlie shot 71-74 at the Par 71 River Oaks Golf Club in Edmond to win her second consecutive Senior title. Nan Dyer won the Low Net title. Click here for Gross results.

  • Oklahoma wins its 9th Fore State Championship

    Team Oklahoma rode the lead it held after two rounds at the Fore State Team Championship to its 9th victory.Oklahoma scored the most points in both the Four Ball and Foursomes rounds.  The Arkansas team put on a charge during the Singles matches, but Oklahoma held on for a 3-point win at Shangri-La Golf Club.  Final standings were Oklahoma 15, Arkansas 12, Missouri 11 and Kansas 10.  Team Members are: Yujeong Son, Caroline Goodin, Nadia Majidizadeh, Megan Blonien, Kendra Mann, Charter Lawson, LeeAnn Fairlie, Kathy West, Leigh Ann Fore, Laurie MakesCry, Rebecca Davis and Janet Miller.  Click here for final results.

  • 13-Year Old Y. Son Wins Back-to-Back Championships

    Yujeong Son defeated Baylee Price 4 & 3 to be the youngest State Amateur Champion in the history of the Women's Oklahoma State Amateur Championship. The Championship was held at Cedar Ridge CC in Broken Arrow. Son won the Girls' Junior Championship last week at Quail Creek and Price was the Stroke Play runner-up at Oak Tree in June.

  • Son is 2014 Girls' Jr Champion

    Yujeong Son shot 7-under on the par 73 Quail Creek course to win the 64th Girls' Junior Championship.  Syndey Youngblood was the runner-up.  Emily Floyd had a hole-in-one on #16.   Click here for final results

  • Goodin wins Stroke Play & Fairlie wins Mid-Am

    Caroline Goodin, Oklahoma City, won the 2014 Stroke Play Championship.  LeeAnn Fairlie, Oklahoma City, is the 2014 Mid-Amateur Champion.  Both ladies passed the leaders to win their respective championships at Oak Tree Country Club's East course.

  • The Owasso Pack Wins The WOGA Cup

    The Owasso Pack from Owasso Golf & Athletic Club won the 4th Annual WOGA Cup Club Team Tournament held at Dornick Hills CC. The team of Kaye Cummins, Patti Shaffer, Andrea Lewis and Carolyn Mericle finished one point ahead of the home town Dornick Hills team.Click here for final results.

  • 2014 WOGA Scholarship Recipients

    WOGA is pleased to announce the 2014 WOGA Scholarship Recipients: Southern Hills WGA Scholarship - Miss Marla Souvannasing, Tulsa
    Lake Hefner WGA Scholarship - Miss Kennedy Hudson, Bixby
    Cedar Ridge WGA Scholarship - Miss Anna Kim, Broken Arrow
    Each WOGA Scholar will receive a $1,000 Scholarship to assist with her higher educational expenses. Thank you to our donors for making the Scholarships and Grants Awards possible! The Women's Golf Associations from the clubs named above earned the right to have a WOGA Scholarship named in their honor due to tremendous membership recruitment. These three clubs had the most members join WOGA of any clubs in the state.

  • Fore State Qualifying Criteria

    New qualifying criteria for Oklahoma's Fore State Team available now.  Click here. The Championship will be July 28-29 at Shangri-La Golf Club, Afton, OK.

  • 2014 Tournament Entries

    The opening date for entries for the WOGA Mixed Couples Tournament has been postponed to March 24, 8:00 a.m. due to the implementation of new software for tournament administration, entries and membership.  The state of the art program was made available through collaboration with the United States Golf Association and the Oklahoma Golf Assoc.

    All WOGA tournament entries will be accepted online only in 2014.  Membership applications will be continue to be accepted by regular mail and online for 2014.

  • 2014 WOGA Kick-Off A Success

    WOGA kicked off the 2014 season with a fun and informative party at Southern Hills CC on February 1. Over 200 participated, including a strong contingent of junior girls. Highlights of the party were the new "This is WOGA" video, information about WOGA's Scholarship and Junior Grants programs, WOGA logo clothing, fitness evaluations and massages.   • Mid-Am Division Added to Fore State Championship

    The Fore State Executive Committee has announced a major change to the Fore State Team Championship. Beginning in 2014, each state will select 6 players to represent the Amateur Division consisting of players whose ages are 39 and younger. The remainder of the team will consist of 6 players whose ages are 40 and over. There will be a total of 12 players on each team. The new format promotes even more competition for the Amateur Division, but allows for the best players of all ages from each state to be represented at the Championship. “I am very excited about the new format, and believe there will be even more interest generated in the already popular event,” said Sheila Dills the 2014 Fore State Team Captain. “We are looking forward to hosting the event in 2014 using this new format at beautiful Shangri-La in Afton.” A new qualifying structure will be unveiled soon for the Oklahoma players

  • WOGA Awards $6,375 to Girls' High School & Junior Girls' Programs

    WOGA is pleased to announce the 2013 Girls' High School and Junior Girls' Grants Award recipients.  A total of $6,375 will be awarded to the following programs:  the High School girls teams at Ardmore, Bixby, Booker T. Washington-Tulsa, Broken Arrow, Charles Page-Sands Springs, Durant, Enid, Jenks, Muskogee, Northeast Academy-OKC, Will Rogers-Tulsa and the First Tee Programs in OKC & Tulsa.  Thanks to WOGA's supporters and donors that helped to make this possible.

  • LeeAnn Fairlie Wins Senior Championship

    LeeAnn Fairlie, Oklahoma City, is the 2013 Oklahoma State Senior Champion.  In her debut appearance, Fairlie shot 73-72 to win by 7 over runner-up Janet Miller, Catoosa. Ann Cowan, Elk City, was third at 155. Janet McMillin, Shawnee, won Low Net over the field and Pat Monroe, Tulsa, was Putting Champion. The 37th Senior Championship was contested at The Trails Golf Club in Norman September 30-October 1.  Final Results

  • Team Oklahoma Finishes in 10th

    Team Oklahoma posted a strong final 18-holes to finish in a tie for tenth at the USGA State Team Championship. That marked the best finish ever for a team from Oklahoma. Amber Hensley Duke, Tulsa, Jade Staggs, OKC, and Kelly Fuchik, Tulsa represented Oklahoma. Staggs posted the best score of the final round with a 3-under 70.   • DeLarzelere & Fairlie win Partnership

    LeeAnn Fairlie shot a course record on Tuesday at Shangri-La Golf Club.  Fairlie & her partner Teresa DeLarzelere are repeat winners of the Partnership Championship. Annette Flaming & Andy Bowen won the Low Net Over the Field Award. Janice Nagle made an eagle on #9. Click here for results from Championship.

  • Oklahoma Finishes 2nd in Fore State

    Team Oklahoma tied for 2nd place in the Fore State Team Championship at Twin Hills Golf & CC in Joplin Missouri. Oklahoma won 2 points in Fourball, 2 points in Foursomes and 6 points in Singles. The team included State Amateur Champ, Jade Staggs, and Stroke Play Champ, Amber Hensley. Completing the team were Laurie Makes Cry, Amanda Johnson, Charter Lawson, Jaime Branch, Maddy Haley, Lauren Michael, Leigh Ann Fore and Kendra Mann.   • Jade Staggs is 95th State Amateur Champion

    Jade Staggs defeaated Taylor Neidy to win the 95th State Amateur Championship at The Greens CC. Jade's win earned her an automatic placement on WOGA's Fore State Team and USGA State Team.  

  • Alexis Sadeghy wins Girls' Jr Championship

    Alexis Sadeghy came from behind to win the 63rd Girls' Junior Championship at MeadowBrook CC. Taylor Boylan of Tulsa made a hole-in-one on the 140-yard #8 with a 7-iron during the first round.  The Girls' Junior State Championship is the oldest and most prestigious girls' championship in Oklahoma.   

  • Hensley is Stroke Play Champ and Treadwell is Mid Am Champ

    Amber Hensley of Tulsa won the Stroke Play Championship in a playoff with round one leader Samantha Stewart. Katy Treadwell of OKC won her 3rd Mid Amateur title. Both champions will receive automatic placement on WOGA's Fore State Team and USGA State Team. Others placing will earn points toward qualifying for each team. Complete results

  • WAPL Qualifiers include 12 year old

    Congratulations to the Oklahomans who qualified for the Women's Amateur Public Links Championship to be held June 17-23 at the Jimmie Austin GC in Norman. Qualifiers are Jade Staggs, OKC (Sectional Medalist); Kelly Fuchik, Tulsa; 12 year old Yujeong Son, Norman and Lucy Nunn of Lawton. Two alternates include Samantha Stewart of OKC and Laurie Makescry of Bethany. Jade is a former Oklahoma Girls' Junior State Champion.

  • Southern Hills CC wins the WOGA Cup

    Southern Hills CC continued their march to the Championship on day 2 of the WOGA Cup winning 5-1/2 points out of a possible 6. Teams from across the state vied for the Cup. For complete results click here. The Cuatro Senior Ritas from Broken Arrow G&AC won the team naming contest.

  • Scholarship Applications Due May 1

    The WOGA Scholarship Program encourages and promotes the attainment of higher education goals for young women. The WOGA Scholarship is an academic award. Recipients will be announced June 15. Click here for the Scholarship Application. Applications must be postmarked by May 1.

  • Jr Girls Fundraiser Tournament - July 8

    1st Annual Women's Oklahoma Golf Association Fundraiser benefiting junior girls' programs set for July 8 at MeadowBrook CC in Tulsa. Men, women, girls and boys may all play. For sponsorship and general information click here or contact Sheila Dills, WOGA VP and Junior Girls Development Chair. WOGA is a 501c3 charitable organization. Donations are tax-deductible.

  • Junior & High School Girls Grants Program

    WOGA announces a new program that will provide financial support to junior girls and high school girls golf programs throughout Oklahoma. An online auction set to commence in late June will raise funds for this program. Click here for the Donor Form.

    High School Girls programs and Junior Girls programs should submit applications for grants by August 15, 2013. Click here for the Grant Application. Grants will be awarded by September 15, 2013.

  • WOGA Receives Gift

    The Dunk 'n Divot Golf Committee of Duncan donated $8,200 to the WOGA Scholarship Fund in memory of Jarita Askins. Hall of Famer Askins founded the popular Dunk 'n Divot golf tournament and served as tournament chair for 17 years. Glenna Lasater and Beth Liles presented the donation during the Presidents' Brunch in OKC hosted by WOGA.

  • USGA to retire WAPL after 2014

    The USGA will retire the Women's Amateur Public Links Championship after the 2014 competition. A Four-Ball Championship will be introduced in 2015. Click here for the press release or click on the USGA logo to the left to go to usga.org.

  • Goodin Signs with OCU

    Caroline Goodin signed to play golf at Oklahoma City University. She is the current WOGA Girls' Junior State Champion. Congratulations Caroline!

  • Muskogee Team takes the WOGA Cup

    The team of Betty Dixon, Lorene West, Shirley James & Laurie Fuller of Muskogee CC used their home course knowledge to win the WOGA Cup by 1 point over teams from Oaks CC and Oakwood CC. Twenty-one teams from clubs across the state competed in Four-ball, Foursomes and Singles matches at Muskogee Country Club on October 22-23. Click here for complete results of the WOGA Cup.

  • Hole-in-One @ WOGA Cup

    Nan Dyer, Oak Tree, aced Hole #4 during the morning Four-ball matches. But even an ace could not put Dyer's team in first place. Muskogee CC #2 and Adams are tied at the top with 6 points each. Close behind with 5 1/2 points each are Oaks #1 and Muskogee #1. Indian Springs #2 sits in 5th with 5 points. Four teams are tied at 4 1/2 points..Tuesday morning the winner of the WOGA Cup will be decided after the Foursomes matches are complete. 21 four-woman teams are competing for the WOGA Cup at Muskogee Country.   • DeLarzelere 5-time Senior Champ!

    Teresa DeLarzelere won her 5th consecutive Senior Championship. Teresa tied first round leader, Janet Miller, to force a playoff which she won on the first hole. Marcia Thructhley was low net over the field to make it a double win for Indian Springs CC. Ann Turner won low putts. The Championship was at MeadowBrook CC in Tulsa. Click here for complete results

  • Oklahoma Golfers Qualify for Mid-Am

    Congratulations to Jill Johnson & Chrissy Bagwell qualifying for the Mid-Am Championship! The championship will be October 6-11 at Briggs Ranch Golf Club in San Antonio. Nan Dyer qualified as an alternate.

  • Johnson & Miller win Partnership

    Jill Johnson & Janet Miller shoot 7-under on the final day to capture the Partnership Championship with a two-day total of 137 on the par 72 Shangri-La course. Tammy Fairchild and Dana Hurley won Low Net over the field of 66 teams. Click here for complete results.

  • Son Wins U.S. Kids Championship!

    Yujeong Son of Norman won the U.S. Kids World Championship for girls age 11. Son shot 5-under on the 5050-yard, par 72 course at Southern Pines in North Carolina. Son prevailed over 94 other 11-year old girls during the 54-hole championship. Congratulations!

  • Team Oklahoma wins!!

    Oklahoma's Fore State Team broke the record they set last year by winning their 8th championship. Oklahoma held a one point lead going into the singles matches and extended their lead to win by three.Click here for complete results. Oklahoma's team competed against teams from Kansas (10 pts), Missouri (6 pts), & Arkansas (10 1/2 pts)in Hutchinson, KS. Team members are Caroline Goodin, Amber Hensley, Jill Johnson, Charter Lawson, Kendra Mann, Lauren Michael, Janet Miller, Aly Seng, Alex Stewart & June Tigert.

  • Stroke Play / Mid-Am Championship

    Alex Stewart is the 2012 Stroke Play Champion, shooting 146 in the two-day tournament at The Oaks Country Club in Tulsa. Stewart is from Oklahoma City. Janet Miller of Tulsa is the Mid-Am Champion. Miller was also the Mid-Am Champion in 2008 & 2009.Click here for complete results.

  • Girls' Junior Champion Crowned!

    Caroline Goodin of Oklahoma City is the 62nd Girls' Junior Champion in Oklahoma. Caroline shot rounds of 72 and 71 at Willow Creek CC in Oklahoma City. Megan Blonien, 2-time defending champion, was runner-up. Click here for complete results.

  • 94th State Amateur Championship at Gaillardia

    Past Champion, Amber Hensley repeated as Champion defeating June Tigert in the finals. Hensley was State Amateur Champion in 2007. Tigert, who will be attending Redlands, was playing in her first State Amateur Championship. Click here for complete results.


  • Oklahoma finishes 17th in USGA State Team Championship
